February 2023
Culinary Tourism Issue
According to the Food Travel Monitor (a global study conducted by the World Food Travel Association), 95 percent of world travelers can be classified as food travelers. Along those lines, 95 percent of U.S. residents say they are interested in having a unique food experience when they travel.
This issue of Leisure Group Travel is for those hungry explorers.
LGT embraces the growing popularity of culinary tourism as we uncover deliciousness in places one wouldn’t expect, such as Mississippi gas stations and salads featuring dandelions. We also unearth Pennsylvania’s favorite dishes and pay a visit to a world-class food city: Bogota, where writer Randy Mink bring its street carts, restaurants and cafes to life.
LGT even pays homage to travel industry All-Stars as we spotlight some of the professionals who are setting themselves apart.Â
