New design features being added across the fleet
Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Summit recently underwent a major renovation as part of a modernization project called The Celebrity Revolution, a $500 million investment fleetwide. The ship’s transformation began on February 17, 2019, and 31 days later she re-emerged. Enhancements include the addition of The Retreat for suite guests with a redesigned lounge and exclusive new sundeck, plus stunning new designs for restaurants, other lounges and bars. Staterooms and suites were completely redesigned, as were the spa and casino. The reimagined Celebrity Summit offers diverse itineraries, giving groups several different cruise options.

The launch of Celebrity Cruises’ newest ship, the Celebrity Edge, in December 2018 was the first step in the line’s plan to transform its cruise experiences. The Celebrity Revolution, begun in early 2019, involves the modernization of the entire fleet. The Celebrity Millennium and Celebrity Summit were the first to be made over, and 2019 will see the overhaul of the Celebrity Equinox. In 2020, the Celebrity Silhouette, Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Infinity and Celebrity Eclipse will be revolutionized, with the Celebrity Solstice following in 2021. Finally, in 2023 the Celebrity Reflection will be modernized.
Across the Celebrity fleet, these new innovations include the expansion of the spa’s Persian Garden, new shopping experiences, and new places for guests to enjoy, including the updated Lawn Club and Den on 7. Also, bars and lounges have been elevated. The Passport Bar has been reimagined, along with the introduction of Craft Social, where gourmet comfort food as well as creative cocktails and more than 40 craft beers are served.

New Partnerships Featured on the Celebrity Summit
Accommodating 2,158 guests based on double occupancy, the Celebrity Summit is 965 feet long and has a gross registered tonnage of 90,940. Besides her modernized spaces, the Millennium-class ship is the first to feature new partnerships with Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Boulud and the American Ballet Theatre.
American Ballet Theatre
Wowing audiences from the United States as well as countries throughout the world, the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) has been an important part of New York City’s cultural community for nearly 80 years. Guests will have an opportunity to enjoy not only exclusive ABT performances on select Celebrity ships but also participate in ballet barre classes and join dancers for intimate seminars. In addition, they will be able to embark on special excursions to ABT performances in ports of call.
Chef Daniel Boulud
Chef Daniel Boulud, founder of an award-winning restaurant group that includes Cafe Boulud in New York City and his Michelin-starred flagship, DANIEL, is Celebrity’s global culinary brand ambassador. In this role, Chef Boulud is designing signature dishes for Luminae, an exclusive restaurant for suite-class guests. In addition, Celebrity Cruises has introduced the Chef’s Table by Daniel Boulud. This includes a private galley tour and a five-course dining experience, with guest chef appearances.

Other Transformations on the Celebrity Summit
The Cosmopolitan restaurant has a new sleek and stylish look. The Rendezvous Lounge has a new expansive bar area, complete with panoramic views. It hosts entertainment and events throughout the day and evening.
Sunset Bar
At the Sunset Bar, which has inviting new seating options, guests dine al fresco or enjoy cocktails with the refreshing sea breezes. The buffet-style Oceanview Cafe features a new open concept with new seating options as well as globally inspired culinary options.

Canyon Ranch at Sea has gone through a new wellness-focused design that has transformed the spa’s treatment rooms, fitness center, salon and locker rooms.
For Suite Guests Only
As part of The Celebrity Revolution, there are new exclusive spaces for suite guests on the Celebrity Summit. These include the Retreat Lounge, which has complimentary bites, beverages and entertainment, along with concierge service. The new Retreat Sundeck, a chic enclave, lets suite guests unwind outdoors, and Luminae is a private restaurant just for suite guests. Suites include butler service.

Celebrity Summit’s Diverse Itineraries
During 2019 and 2020, the Celebrity Summit is offering seven-night Bermuda cruises, 10- and 11-night Bermuda/New England cruises, and 10- and 11-night Canada/New England cruises. She’s also offering seven-night Southern Caribbean sailings from San Juan, plus 10-night Lesser Antilles and Caribbean itineraries.
