Having served guests for more than 20 years, Havana Central is a leading Cuban restaurant and rum bar located in Times Square, New York City. Morning:

Fall at the New York Botanical Garden is the perfect season to spend quality time with friends and family among 250 acres of crisp beauty. As its celebration of the 1960s Flower Power nears its end on October 18, channel the spirit of the era among botanical displays and art and photography. Another excellent show on Broadway is Schmigadoon!, playing at the Nederlander Theatre. Welcome to Schmigadoon – the magical town where every day is a musical. Greenwich Village is a beautiful neighborhood in New York City. Stroll tree- lined streets and historic brownstones, relax in Washington Square Park, browse independent shops and galleries, and stop for a meal or coffee at one of the neighborhood’s many incredible restaurants and cafés. Known for its bohemian roots and long connection to artists, writers, and musicians, the Village also offers plenty of opportunities to explore New York’s cultural history, from legendary music venues to historic landmarks.



How far in advance should groups book Broadway tickets, The Met and New York Botanical Garden, and are there group discounts or special programs available?

Three to six months is a sensible planning window for this itinerary, although popular Broadway productions and peak-season dates can warrant booking even earlier. Broadway group sales generally begin at 10 tickets, and group buyers can access special pricing and benefits depending on the production. The itinerary is correct to advise planners to use the show’s official group-sales information or a licensed group-sales agency.
The Met requires advance reservations for groups, with group tours generally limited to 50 people. The museum offers a variety of guided and self-guided group options, so planners should make reservations early and determine which format best suits their travelers.



How much free time should planners build into the itinerary for exploring neighborhoods such as Times Square, Central Park and Greenwich Village between scheduled attractions and performances?

We recommend building in at least two to three hours of flexible time whenever possible, rather than trying to squeeze neighborhood sightseeing into a tight schedule. New York attractions can take longer than expected, and groups need additional time for walking, meals, rest stops and getting between venues.
For example, Times Square and the Theater District work naturally as free-time destinations before or after a Broadway performance because they’re compact and filled with restaurants, shops and photo opportunities. Greenwich Village is better treated as a dedicated neighborhood experience, where travelers can stroll, shop, grab coffee or lunch and enjoy Washington Square Park. Central Park is enormous, so planners should choose a specific section or attraction rather than promising that the group will “see Central Park” in a short window.
