Ready to head to the snow? Here are five great options beyond the United States where beginners as well as experts can check out.

Skiing is a great sport for everyone to participate in. Sometimes, for beginners it can be tough to find good places to get a start in skiing. Why not go aboard and learn at a beautiful ski resort? Not only would you get to visit beautifully foreign places but get to experience the slopes!

A good ski school away from advanced skiers and snowboarders is also a must while they learn the techniques and gain some confidence.

Here are some Alpine ski resorts that are perfect for beginners:

Les Arcs Ski Resort in France

Found in the Savoie region in France, this resort is “a beginners paradise.” Included are 3 green runs and 64 blue runs with slow speed zones so that skiers can build their confidence in a safe area. There are plenty of ski school options and lessons available which is super helpful.

With that, there are special beginner ski passes to allow access to the beginner lifts as well as slopes. Not only that, but for intermediate type skiers can have fun too with some practice terrain.

For this mountain, there can be found beginner runs all over the mountain which creates a nice variety for skiers! There are even kid parks and practice ski school areas where brand new skiers can begin. The Lech Ski Resort is perfect to practice because of the gentle slopes for beginner skiers to make progress. Holding the first ski lesson in 1906, their ski school program makes it super easy to learn on the mountain which allows access to more than 500 professional instructors. Lech is known as a “winter paradise” so this resort would be fun for all ages as well as all ski types.

Once beginners feel more confident, it is super easy to then move around the mountain as you please with more area to work on technique in a safe way.

A cute village in Switzerland is connected to the Wengen Ski Resort which is only 0.2 kilometers for the town center. You may have heard of Wengen before because it hosts the international Lauberhorn ski races; so, a great place to find good snow.

There is a vast high-quality range of slopes with a great sheltered learn-to-ski slopes and lifts, but there is something here for everyone. Lovers for long-groomed runs will enjoy the slopes here because of the terrain at this resort. Though one must buy a lift pass to access the mountain, there are masses of terrain as well as 49 different lifts.

Cervinia

Cervinia Alpine Resort in Italy

Known for its snowcapped mountains, in the Northwest region of Italy, there is an oasis found: the Cervinia Ski Paradise. Marketed to offer fun and relaxation year-round, this resort is a great place to find long ski runs for gentle cruising.

This is one of the best places in the Alps for the early to intermediate ski types. Not to mention, but there are some runs for more adventurous skiers including a range of blue to black runs which connect across the mountain. Also, this is one of the more affordable places to book on the Alps but, keep the weather in mind when looking to plan a visit.
