Can I book a private departure for just my group?
Yes. G Adventures offers “Private Travel” on many itineraries; you can choose dates, add enhancements, and travel with only your invited guests (as few as eight people).
What’s the typical group size on standard departures?
Small by design—expect up to 15 travelers (average around 10). Check each trip page for the exact maximum.
Who leads the trip on the ground?
Every tour is led by a locally based Chief Experience Officer (CEO) who manages logistics and connects the group to authentic experiences.
Can we customize an existing itinerary?
Yes. Private Travel departures allow date flexibility and add-on enhancements to tailor the experience to your group.
What traveler ages do G Adventures trips allow?
Most tours are 18+ with no upper age limit. The “18-to-Thirtysomethings” style is exclusively for ages 18–39, and Family trips are designed for families traveling with kids (see each Family trip for minimum age details).
How far in advance should we add extra services (transfers, pre/post nights, etc.)?
Add them at least 30 days before departure; within 10 days, add-ons generally can’t be arranged and amendment fees may apply 30–10 days out.
What happens to our deposit if plans change?
G Adventures’ “Lifetime Deposit” lets travelers keep their initial deposit for future use (subject to the detailed booking terms).
