Girls trips are a great way to reconnect with your favorite female friends. Whether it’s for bachelorettes, birthdays or just wanting to get away, the destination of a girls trip is the most important part when planning a girls’ trip. Gather the gang for a fun weekend getaway to one of these exciting cities.

Things to Do in Nashville, Tennessee

When it comes to getaway spots Nashville offers a variety of things to do and of course good music. Visit Broadway in downtown for exciting live music and drinks galore. Visit bars owned by famous singers like Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa, Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar or Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row. Nightlife in Music City is exceptionally exciting.

For more casual, day time activities, try museums or the zoo. The Tennessee State Museum and the Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery are both located in Nashville and offer entertaining and historical adventures. The Nashville Zoo is the 9th largest zoo in the US. It houses many animals like tigers, alligators and flamingos. Enjoy a couple hours to leisurely stroll the grounds and learn about the different species.

Trolley tours are a great way to see the city and can accommodate larger groups. Have a drink while you learn about the rich history if Music City. Other outdoor activities include Old Hickory Lake, exploring the Cumberland Caverns or biking down the Greenway. Cool off with a visit to Gaylord Opryland, a resort with indoor and outdoor pools including lazy rivers, waterslides and more.

While summer in Nashville can be hot, the seasonal events and activities make it worth it. The Country Music Association Fest is hosted during summer and showcases meet-and-greets with artists as well as plenty of live music. Food events like the Nashville Farmers Market, Food Truck Feast and the Watermelon Festival are open during the summer. The Fourth of July is extra exciting in Music City. Go downtown for one of the largest fireworks shows in the US with music from famous singers like Brad Paisley.

There are plenty of hotels or Airbnb’s to stay at in Nashville in a variety of price ranges. Staying closer to downtown will be more expensive, but there are plenty of options outside of downtown or even outside of the city if you want to explore other areas. Renting a car is ideal if you plan to stay outside the city or explore other areas. If you plan to stay within the city, Uber and Lyft are great options.

Las Vegas Girls trip

Seven Magic Mountains outside Las Vegas

A Girls Weekend to Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas is jam-packed with exciting things to do during the day and at night. Of course, if you’re interested in gambling, Sin City is the place to be. Popular casinos like The Bellagio, The Venetian, MGM Grand and Caesars Palace are great for playing games or just taking in the sights. If you’re just looking for some drinks or dancing, clubs and bars are in no short supply.

Entertainment comes in all shapes and sizes in Vegas. Catch one or more shows on your trip. MGM Grand, Bellagio, Luxor, Flamingo, Mirage and many other venues on the strip have shows regularly. Concerts, Cirque Du Soleil, magic, comedy, and dancing are just a few options available.

If you want to escape the city for some fresh air, try these outdoor activities. Red Rock Canyon is 17 miles out of the city, and you can hike, bike or drive the gorgeous 13-mile trail. Seven Magic Mountains is located about 30 minutes outside the city. It is a unique, colorful art installation in the desert comprised of incredible stacked boulders. Lake Mead is a quick 40-minute drive if you’re looking to escape the city. Rent a pontoon boat or relax on the beach to get some fresh air. Spring is ideal for Las Vegas to avoid the scotching summer heat but still be able to enjoy pool season.

With a variety of day activities available, you can make the most of your trip. Try brunch, pool parties or even museums. Pool parties usually start in March and are a refreshing way to cool off and relax before going out for the night. The Neon Museum sits on over 2 acres and features bright neon signs. The experience is brighter at night, but still fun during the day, you’re able to see more of the signs as they are not all lit at night. Madame Tussauds Wax Museum features incredibly realistic wax sculptures of people such as, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus and Drake.

Staying at one of the resort casinos on the strip is an experience itself, but there are inexpensive options in the city. If you’re looking to escape the noise and crowds, an Airbnb outside the city is a great choice. There are plenty of transportation options in the city like taxis and Uber. If you want to stay or travel to nearby attractions, renting a car is a better choice.
