Who Goway GroupsOnly is for

For travel advisors

Sell custom group trips without building them from scratch. A Goway Group Specialist designs the itinerary, contracts the air and handles the details while you keep the client relationship, earn on the booking and collect GowayPro rewards.

For group leaders and organizers

Lead a trip your members will talk about for years. Whether you organize for a church, alumni association, club or extended family, Goway builds the trip around your group, helps you promote it, and can include a free place for the leader once the group is large enough.

Popular with faith groups, alumni and university associations, clubs and special-interest groups, sports teams, multigenerational families, women’s travel groups, culinary and heritage groups, and groups traveling for special events.

Is GroupsOnly Right for Your Group?

  • You have 10 or more travelers who will follow the same itinerary.
  • You want a trip designed for your group rather than seats on a fixed departure.
  • You are looking at long-haul destinations such as Africa, Asia, Australia and the South Pacific, Europe, Latin America or the Middle East.
  • You can start planning 12 to 18 months before departure.
  • You want help with group air, promotion and traveler paperwork, not just a land package.

Smaller group or a shorter timeline? Ask anyway. A Group Specialist can tell you quickly what is realistic.

How Planning a Goway Group Trip Works

Step 1: Share your idea
Tell a Goway Group Specialist where your group wants to go, roughly when, how many people might travel and what they care about.

Step 2: Get a custom proposal
Goway returns a detailed itinerary with land and air pricing built for your group, then refines it with you until it fits your budget and pace.

Step 3: Promote and fill the trip
Use Goway’s Groups Marketing Toolkit, custom e-flyers, social media support and trip presentations to recruit travelers. Advisors can also book a marketing coaching session with a Goway account manager.

Step 4: Manage registration
Goway’s Groups Management Tool collects traveler details in one place, and a planning email series keeps everyone on schedule for deposits and documents.

Step 5: Travel
Your group departs with flights, hotels, touring and transfers arranged, and your Group Specialist stays on as the point of contact from booking to return.

What Group Leaders and Travel Advisors Get

A team that only does groups. GroupsOnly works exclusively with groups of 10 or more, so your Group Specialist already knows the problems group trips run into and how to solve them.

One specialist, start to finish. The same Group Specialist plans your itinerary, answers traveler questions and stays with you through departure.

Group air handled in-house. Goway contracts group air with major airlines. Group base fares are guaranteed until departure, and group space is typically confirmed about 11 months out.

Help filling every seat. From e-flyers and social posts to a ready-made trip presentation, Goway helps you recruit travelers and reach your group size.

Tools that cut the admin. The Groups Management Tool and a planning email series keep traveler details, deposits and documents organized.

Built on five decades. Goway has been family-run since 1970 and is a long-standing member of the United States Tour Operators Association.

Group Itinerary + Destination Ideas

Each itinerary is a starting point, not a fixed departure. A Goway Group Specialist can change the length, pace, hotels and activities to suit your group’s interests and budget.

Goway Group Travel FAQ

Q: How much does a Goway group trip cost?
A: Cost depends on destination, season, trip length, hotel level and group size, so every GroupsOnly quote is custom. Quotes include a detailed itinerary with land and air pricing, and larger groups generally see better per-person rates. For a realistic figure, share your destination, dates and expected group size with a Group Specialist.

Q: Do I need a full traveler list to reserve a Goway group trip?
A: No. Goway lets you secure group space, including group air, with a deposit before you have every traveler’s name. That means you can lock in the trip early and recruit travelers afterward. As people sign up, their details are collected through Goway’s Groups Management Tool.

Q: When is final payment due for a Goway group trip?
Each group’s payment dates are set out in its group contract. For reference, Goway’s standard terms require the balance 60 days before departure, and cancellation penalties increase as departure approaches. Confirm your group’s exact schedule with your Group Specialist before you announce deadlines to travelers.

Q: Should group travelers buy travel insurance?
Yes. Goway strongly recommends travel insurance and advises buying it when the deposit is paid, so cancellation coverage starts right away. Leaders and advisors should raise it early with travelers, because Goway’s cancellation penalties apply once deposits are received and airlines may add their own fees.

Q: When do travelers receive their travel documents?
Under Goway’s standard terms, travel documents, tickets, joining instructions and local contacts are sent within about two weeks of final payment. Schedule your pre-trip meeting or traveler briefing after that date so everyone has final flight and hotel details in hand.

Q: Can Goway plan a group cruise?
A: Yes. Goway GroupsOnly can build group trips around cruises and has partnered with Norwegian Cruise Line to offer blocked group space, flexible deposits and complimentary berths for tour leaders. Ask your Group Specialist about adding land touring before or after the sailing.
