Country Cascades Waterpark Resort expansion adds 91-room River Tower, dining options and a family entertainment center amid a modern-mountain design
Guests will soon enjoy 91 new guest rooms, a grand lobby, more eats and treats, as well as a diverse offering of activities and entertainment. The new seven-story River Tower features 91 modern mountain-themed rooms, each designed for families and to accommodate up to six guests.

Nature comes to life as the heart of the Smoky Mountains is celebrated throughout the various features of the River Tower guest rooms. Light and airy touches will carry the mountain breeze inside each room, immersing guests in a mountain setting. Meanwhile, room accommodations will surround guests in modern, creature comforts. Adults will enjoy the rustic-yet-refined space, but River Tower rooms are really all about the kids. Each room has a dedicated “kids space,” designed for more than just sleeping, thanks to the in-room scavenger hunt. Young adventurers can follow clues to crack a secret code that opens an in-room treasure chest.
The focal point of the transformed Country Cascades Waterpark Resort will be its grand lobby where a soaring natural stone hearth will greet resort guests. Lobby design elements include stone and massive wooden beams, echoing the modern mountain design theme. Designed with families in mind, the resort property reveals several spots for gathering and spending time together.
While the Country Cascades Waterpark Resort expansion focuses on the family-centered guest rooms and built-in activities, the project will reimagine the existing resort campus. Families will gather for memory-filled moments at nightly pajama dance parties, story times, and arts and crafts activities. The outdoor waterpark will get a fresh new look that is ready for fun. These amenities are free for resort guests. The resort’s new family entertainment center offers mini-bowling, rock climbing, a VR Arena, arcade games, and prizes.
Resort dining will feature a reimagined culinary experience, including Country Cascade’s signature breakfast. Lighter fare as well as a variety of hot options are offered at the new grab-n-go market. The expansion brings two new fast-casual options and a new confectionary kitchen for diners.
Room count increased
“This $30 Million Dollar project brings together all of the elements of a memory filled vacation whether it is the thrill of rock climbing, excitement of a pajama dance party, or the delight of sharing ice cream together,” said Kay Collier-Pittman, president.

The River Tower expansion increases the Country Cascades Waterpark Resort’s room count to 322 guest rooms with 133 suites in the existing Country Tower and 98 split-room suites at the Summit Tower. This increase adds nearly a third more rooms at the already bustling Country Cascades.
This $30 million investment will create a variety of new hospitality jobs. Country Cascades Waterpark Resort will drive an estimated$1 Million annually instate and local tax revenues. During their 50th Anniversary Celebration we committed to investing$50 Million in our local community over 10 years. This project completes that investment in half of the time.
