A new name and tradeshow format for a November 2020 event and additional tradeshow announcements through 2021 highlight significant moves by the new Spotlight Travel Network
MARS & Companies and Free Spirit Vacations & Events, operating under Spotlight Travel Network, have renamed their annual Spotlight on the Mid-Atlantic to Spotlight on the East. Likewise, the annual Spotlight on the Southwest has been renamed to Spotlight on the West.
“The new branding more accurately describes our attendees and is more inclusive and welcoming to partners throughout the U.S. and Canada,” said Kate Scopetti, MARS & Companies and Sue Arko, Free Spirit Vacations & Events, in a joint statement.
Due to COVID-19 the Fairfax County, Virginia and Washington, District of Columbia Spotlight on the Mid-Atlantic tradeshow has been cancelled. The good news is along with the name change to Spotlight on the East the show will be a Virtual Platform scheduled for November 10, 2020. The virtual show format will feature a keynote speaker and an itinerary planning session. The itinerary creating PODs will be announced at the end of September allowing time for collaboration and creativity.

Spotlight Travel Network plans on returning to its traditional tradeshow format under the new names, Spotlight on the East and Spotlight on the West in 2021. April 7-9, 2021 in Laughlin, Nevada will mark the 23rd Annual Spotlight on the West. An Operators Pre-FAM is offered beginning in Las Vegas. Register before October 1, 2020 and save $50. The 5th Annual Spotlight on the East will be hosted in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina November 8-10, 2021. An Operators Pre-FAM beginning in Charleston will take place November 6-8, 2021.
