As the cruise industry continues to evolve, one of the most exciting cruise lines to finally launch is Pearl Seas Cruises. Set to debut early summer 2014, her first ship will be the Pearl Mist, an intimate, state of the art ship offering cruises to the Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence Seaway, the Canadian Maritimes and yes, the Caribbean. With this, Pearl Seas Cruises is taking small ship cruising to a new level.
Small Ship Cruising with Modern Amenities
Pearl Seas Cruises plans to incorporate a small ship experience with modern amenities as well as using “Luxury Adventure.” An interesting combination? Yes, but it makes even more sense because Charles Robertson who’s President & CEO and Chairman of the Board of the highly acclaimed, successful American Cruise Lines, is also President & CEO of Pearl Seas Cruises. It’s taking that success in a new direction with Pearl Seas Cruises, an offshore affiliate of American Cruise Lines, Inc.
Facts about Pearl Mist
Currently under construction, the Pearl Mist will accommodate 210 guests, and her sleek appearance also showcases her modern interior. All the staterooms onboard are actually suites with private balconies and range from 300 to 580 square feet. Staterooms will feature flat-screen TV’s and DVD players; also wireless Internet is across the ship. The spacious glass enclosed dining room is open dining with just one seating. There are six lounges, multiple observation areas, elevators are available to all decks, and fitness equipment is located in the Spa as well as on the outside deck. There’s also a theater and lecture room.
The size of the Pearl Mist allows her to dock in the heart of small towns, and guests can fully experience these welcoming places without feeling rushed or crowded. And along the way, expert lecturers and musicians will come onboard to provide more entertainment and enrichment.
A quick note about dining onboard. With the dining area accommodating all guests onboard with just one seating, it provides a non-rushed experience. Cuisine infused with local flavors is prepared “fresh to order” by their internationally trained master chefs. And dress is resort casual.
Itineraries Throughout the Caribbean
The Pearl Mist’s first sailing on June 28, 2014, is an 11-night cruise which departs from Baltimore and sails on the Atlantic coast arriving in Halifax. Pearl Mist will then offer cruises ranging from 7 to 11 nights, and itineraries will vary. For instance, the St. Lawrence Seaway & Thousand Islands 7 night cruise includes Toronto, Kingston, Clayton, NY; Montreal, Trois Rivieres and Quebec. The 10 and 11 night Great Lakes and Georgia Bay cruises include Toronto, Windsor, Midland, Parry Sound, Mackinaw Island, Little Current, Holland and Chicago. She’ll also have a 10 night Canadian Maritimes cruise sailing between Halifax and Quebec, and an 11 night Southeast United States cruise, departing from Baltimore and sailing down to Nassau. And the Pearl Mist will also be sailing on some Caribbean cruises that will include Bahamas, Belize, Leeward Islands, Windward Islands, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
Bringing culture and beauty together
Bringing regional culture and natural beauty together, along with enrichment programs onboard is really what Pearl Seas Cruises is about. Their focus on providing “Luxury Adventure” gives guests the opportunity to enjoy a small ship cruising experience with very modern amenities. So if your group perhaps wants a change of pace, Pearl Seas Cruises and the new Pearl Mist might be one to consider.
