It’s time to break out of the routine and get your passport out of the security deposit box.
Most group tour planners are experts on the Canadian and America trip. Whether it be the group day trip to Niagara Falls or a week long visit to the national parks out West, its been done by group travelers a million times before. Yes, there are limiting reasons why you shouldn’t take your group overseas, but there are even more reasons to try it. Here are just a few.
1. We now live in a global economy.
The world is shrinking. The Digitalization Age has dragged us out of our caves whether we like it or not. Most of the tourist countries thrive on tourism as their major source of revenue. Because of the fantastic group rates these countries offer, traveling in groups will save you a ton, while boosting the country’s economy at the same time.
2. We need to break cultural barriers.
Let’s face it: we are going to be in contact with several different cultures as globalization continues, so it’s important to learn a little something from foreign cultures. Many travelers are hesitant to go abroad by themselves, so they depend on trip coordinators to show them the way. You have to break out of your own box before your travelers can do the same.
3. Pictures and videos can never measure up to real life sights.
Although there are plenty of educational TV shows, magazines, podcasts and other sources bringing the glories of different parts of the world to our fingertips, it is never quite the same as actually being there. Don’t forget about the bragging rights for when those images do show up on TV; your group members can say, “I was actually there; I lived it!”
4. International travel will change your outlook on life.
It opens you to new experiences that you can bring back home and hold onto, even after your trip is long over. You might even embrace parts of another’s culture as your own.
5. We need to see the world before it’s too late.
Conflict, industrialization and deterioration have or are destroying some of the most amazing segments of mankind. Go out and see as much of it as you can, because you never know when your chance too will be gone. Worldwide issues aside, international travel is on almost everyone’s bucket list, and there’s no better time than the present. So, encourage your travelers to go out of their country and out of their comfort zones to enrich their lives.
