December visitors to Prescott, Ariz., will see the world’s largest gingerbread village, while luminarias light the way in places like San Antonio, Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Portland has its Christmas Ship Parade on the Willamette and Columbia rivers, plus garden displays and choral concerts during the Grotto’s Festival of Lights. In Leavenworth, Wash., the Christmas Lights Festival bathes the Bavarian-style village in thousands of twinkling lights.
