As the third ship in Celebrity Cruises’ award-winning Edge-class series, the Celebrity Beyond is set to debut in April 2022. Her maiden voyage from Southampton, England on April 27 will be a 10-night Western Mediterranean cruise. Celebrity Beyond will offer various Mediterranean itineraries through October 2022. Then she’ll arrive in the United States and start offering cruises from Port Everglades to the Caribbean.

Highlights – More Space and Luxury Onboard

The Celebrity Beyond is a bit taller and longer than the two other Edge-class ships. She’ll accommodate 3,260 guests and will have 179 more cabins and suites. The Celebrity Beyond’s length is 1,073 feet, her gross registered tonnage 140,600. Her size will give guests more expansive open-air spaces to enjoy.

Celebrity Cruises reunited its “dream team” of designers and architects who worked on the Edge series and expanded their roles.

World-renowned Michelin-rated Chef Daniel Boulud has a new restaurant onboard. The Rooftop Garden is larger, and the Rooftop Grill has been expanded for outdoor dining. A new feature is two “floating pools” cantilevered more than six feet over the side of the ship.

The Sunset Bar, a popular aft bar, is larger and spans two decks, with terraces providing more views. A Moroccan-inspired escape, it’s reminiscent of a modern-day Casablanca.

Grand Plaza
Grand Plaza

A transformational place located in the center of the Celebrity Beyond is the Grand Plaza. Inspired by the piazzas of Italy and spanning three decks at the heart of the ship, the Grand Plaza is larger than the Grand Plazas on the sister Edge ships. The Martini Bar, a Celebrity mainstay, has been moved to the center of the venue and has a full circular bar with a beautiful LED chandelier serving as a dramatic centerpiece.

Chef Boulud’s new specialty restaurant, Le Voyage, focuses on fine dining. Providing intimate dining with 50 seats, this is his first restaurant at sea. The soft colors and layers of light and texture complement a menu featuring globally inspired flavors designed to transport guests to places that have inspired Boulud.

The Resort Deck on the Celebrity Beyond allows for more outdoor space because the main open deck is 40 percent larger than on the other Edge-class ships. A large 35-foot lap pool and two “martini glass” Jacuzzis overlook the deck below. Also, there are two-story private cabanas by the pool.

Other Areas of the Ship

On the Resort Deck, one of the most popular spots is the adults-only Solarium, and the Celebrity Beyond continues this tradition. This glass dome-covered pool area lets adults unwind in a luxurious style. It features hot tubs as well as a pool. Guests can grab a light bite for breakfast or lunch at the Spa Cafe and the Juice Bar. And they can order their favorite cocktail or beverage from their waiter.

One of the best places to take in views from the water’s edge is The Magic Carpet. It’s a cantilevered, floating platform that reaches heights of 13 stories above sea level. Situated on the starboard side, the Magic Carpet has comfortable seating, a full bar and space for live music performances.

Eden is described as a “true window to the world” and actually has three stories of windows. It provides a transformative atmosphere that changes from morning to afternoon to evening. The Eden Cafe, Eden Restaurant, and Eden Bar, along with three levels of lounge seating, cozy areas and lively entertainment, let guests enjoy different experiences.

The Club hosts daily activities and cutting-edge entertainment experiences at night.

Suite Class and AquaClass

On the Celebrity Beyond, the Suite Class is even more luxurious. The Retreat, the line’s resort area just for suite guests, has a sundeck that is 40 percent larger and spans two decks. Luminae, the restaurant for suite guests, provides a food and wine pairing developed by Chef Boulud. Also, the Celebrity Beyond has redesigned its two-story Edge Villas, which have private outdoor plunge pools. These iconic suites are the largest in the Celebrity fleet.

The partnership Celebrity Cruises has with actress Gwyneth Paltrow and her wellness line includes her serving as spokesperson along with the re-imagining of the AquaClass. Also, Paltrow’s branded fitness kits from her wellness company, goop, are in the AquaClass cabins. The Celebrity Beyond is the first in the fleet that has AquaClass Sky Suites. These feature floor-to-ceiling, ocean-view units have private verandas, luxurious bedding and some additional wellness amenities.

Caribbean Cruises

After doing a transatlantic cruise, Celebrity Beyond will arrive in the United States and will have a naming ceremony in New York City. After sailing on a nine-night cruise to the Southern Caribbean, the Celebrity Beyond will head to Fort Lauderdale, her homeport. On Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises, ports will include St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Nassau, Puerto Plata and Cozumel.

Celebrity Cruises’ “Always Included” Program

Celebrity’s “Always Included” program features free Wi-Fi, daily gratuities and drinks from the Classic Drinks Package. With the launch of its Edge series, the line decided to move into providing guests a “New Luxury Culture” that was focused, inclusive, relevant and relaxed.

Safety and Health Protocols

Celebrity Cruises has created and implemented safety and health protocols. Continuing to abide by the CDC guidance, the line requires that all guests who are 12 years and older be fully vaccinated. COVID-19 vaccine doses must have been administered at least 14 days prior to sailing. Guests must provide documentation of full vaccination at the cruise terminal as a condition for boarding. In addition, there are pre-cruise COVID-19 testing requirements. Additional information is available at https://www.celebritycruises.com/health-and-safety.
