First launched in 2007,   Azamara Club Cruises has two intimate ships –  the Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest.  With each  accommodating  just 684 guests,  the line has truly evolved  into a destination immersive  cruise line.  Described as  a best fit for guests who don’t just want to see the places and cultures, but live them, Azamara Club Cruises is now taking that to new levels. Guests will be able to enjoy an “immersive complimentary destination event ashore” featured  on every sailing starting in 2013, appropriately called  “AzAmazing Evening.”

More about “AzAmazing Evening”

As mentioned, this complimentary destination event will be featured on every voyage sailing in 2013.  It’s a natural  extension of Azamara’s focus – giving guests a way to immerse themselves in the culture, history and night life  while at the destinations their intimate ships visit.  In 2013, for instance, all of Azamara Club Cruises’ itineraries feature not just late night departures, but also overnight port stays, some which last two or three days.  The “AzAmazing Evening” is customized and personalized, includes transportation and in 2013 there will be 52 different events offered, one per cruise designed to accommodate roughly 500 – 600 guests.

A Few  “AzAmazing Evening”  events

On a Mediterranean cruise voyage, for instance, guests will be able to sample Spain’s famous sherry wine, called Jerez, at  Gonzalez Byass, and then be taken to the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art to enjoy a private equestrian ballet. And for a Baltic cruise voyage, guests will be able to enjoy a private ballet performance in St. Petersburg, Russia, that includes sipping champagne while walking the red carpet. And because  this free evening shore event varies from voyage to voyage, guests who sail on consecutive cruises will be able to enjoy a wide variety of experiences.

Background and more about the Concept

Azamara Club Cruises started testing out the AzAmazing Evening concept a few months ago, and has been providing this to their guests.  This program will be replacing their current 50% off Azamara’s Land Discovery shore excursions program which they had been offering.  “AzAmazing Evenings” have  been developed  and designed by a special team of destination experts.  Emilio Freedman, destination expert designer at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (parent company of Azamara Club Cruises) leads this team, and their focus has been letting guests enjoy an evening event, while also including a bit of local flavor, whether it be foods, wines or beers during the evening as well.

Other new features onboard

Starting with the 2013 Europe season, Azamara Club Cruises is now expanding its complimentary beverage offerings. In addition to a selection of complimentary boutique wines served at lunch and dinner, they will be also including free standard wines, spirits and international beers throughout the day at each of their ships’ lounges and bars.

A bit more about Azamara Club Cruises

Azamara Club Cruises sails to European destinations as well as  Asia, South America and some of the lesser-traveled islands in the West Indies. And in 2014, they will also feature some sailings  from the West Coast of the United States. Other special complimentary features include gratuities for the dining, bar and housekeeping staff, free bottled water along with specialty coffees and teas and free self-service laundry.

If your group is one that likes the immersion aspect, then Azamara Club Cruises might be one to seriously consider, especially with their new “AzAmazing Evenings” official launch in 2013.
