Most change is out of our control. We have no control over the economy, stock market, technology or the weather. But we do have control over how we react to that change and our attitude. Often that control is relinquished, resulting in frustration, impatience and stress.

In 2011, Red Hot Celebrations encourages travel industry partners to take back control. Embrace change, be passionate, be energized and be happy. Here are a couple of thoughts:

  1. Be open to change. There is never going to be a time where change will not occur.
  2. Stay in the game. Instead of excuses, get out of your comfort zone and try something new. (Try adding a special event as part of your tour itinerary.)
  3. Be flexible to change. How you deal with change determines your success, productivity, creativity, passion and stress. Be open and focus your energies on what really matters.

Red Hot Celebrations is the travel trade’s event connection. All travel planners are invited to join the Red Hot Network. A contribution will be made to Tourism Cares, the travel industry foundation that preserves tourism sites, for every group travel planner who joins the network during the month of January.
