New Kentucky-Tennessee Group Tours
The Land Between the Lakes area of Kentucky and Tennessee just unveiled new group itineraries that combine sightseeing, shopping and entertainment with accommodations at state park lodges.
The three-night “Southern Seasonings: A Sampler of Southern Food and Traditions” uses the 48-room lodge at Kenlake State Park in Aurora, Ky. Highlights include Golden Pond Planetarium, a driving tour of Elk and Bison Prairie, Patti’s 1880 Settlement, Branson-style fare at the Variety Theatre, Cindy’s Catfish Kitchen, Fort Campbell 101st Airborne Museum and Fort Donelson National Battlefield, a Civil War site. In Paris, Tenn., groups get a photo op at the 67-foot Eiffel Tower, tour the Heritage Center, shop downtown and enjoy wine-tasting and dinner at Paris Winery.
